Master's Thesis at the University of Basra Examines the Development of the Grand Faw Port and its Operational Performance
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the impact of logistical development at the Grand Faw Port on the operational performance of Iraqi ports in Basra Governorate, while also investigating functional integration as a mediating variable within the General Company for Iraqi Ports.
The thesis, submitted by student Ali Nadhim Khayoun, aimed to demonstrate the impact of logistical development on operational performance and to test the mediating role of functional integration in its three dimensions.
The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology and utilized a questionnaire to collect data from employees at the company headquarters and its affiliated ports, which was then statistically analyzed.
The thesis recommended the necessity of developing port infrastructure, adopting unified digital systems, and establishing a joint center for managing operational processes.
