University of Basrah Holds Training Course on Modern Accounting and Auditing
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a training course entitled "Modern Accounting and Auditing."
The course aimed to introduce participants to business terminology, the accounting cycle, accounting principles and assumptions, and how to prepare financial statements that provide accurate, relevant, and reliable information to stakeholders.
The course, presented by faculty member Farah Asaad Jumaa, covered data analysis and understanding the stages of modern auditing in light of technological advancements and artificial intelligence techniques. It also addressed the concept of accounting, its importance, the objectives of auditing, and its relationship to accounting.
The course recommended keeping pace with technological developments and increasing awareness of them, particularly in the fields of accounting and auditing, in line with labor market demands.
