University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Applied Specializations
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a training lecture as part of the ninth edition of the Teaching Methods Course, Module One, addressing the fundamentals of teaching and learning in applied specializations.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar Mohammed, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, covered key concepts of teaching and learning, the distinction between teaching and training, as well as the main elements of the educational process and the foundations for its development.
The lecture focused on effective teaching strategies, including direct instruction, brainstorming, discussion, and modern technologies, in addition to essential teaching skills that contribute to improving students’ academic experience and enhancing university instructors’ competencies to achieve distinguished learning outcomes.
