University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Learning and Teaching in Engineering
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture entitled “Introduction to Learning and Teaching in Engineering,” as part of the ninth session of the Teaching Methods course, Unit 1.
The lecture aimed to enhance understanding of the theoretical foundations of educational curricula and learning principles, and to introduce the philosophy of the educational process and its pedagogical applications in engineering disciplines.
It focused on developing skills in blended learning design and modern teaching strategies, in addition to mastering classroom management and student motivation.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Ali Latif Tarish, comprised three sessions that addressed the fundamental concepts of learning and teaching, analyzed their interrelationships, and introduced the ABET accreditation standards and their application mechanisms in engineering programs.
