A master's thesis at the College of Science, University of Basrah, examined immune dysfunction following infection with COVID-19.
The thesis, submitted by student Samara Dhia Hashim, aimed to investigate the manifestations of immune system dysfunction in patients with post-COVID syndrome by analyzing selected immunological and inflammatory markers.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the presence of a significant increase in inflammatory cytokines accompanied by an imbalance in T-cell activity.
