University of Basrah Researches Evaluation of Ticagrelor Nanoparticles
A master's thesis at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, investigated the preparation and evaluation of solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with ticagrelor in vitro and in vitro.
The thesis, submitted by student Ayat Faraj Noor, aimed to improve the oral bioavailability and absorption of ticagrelor by formulating it within solid lipid nanoparticles. It also addressed the issues of low solubility and poor permeability, which classify the drug as a Category IV drug.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the preparation and evaluation of 39 pharmaceutical formulations of the poorly soluble and poorly permeable ticagrelor using a micro-emulsion molding method and additives that inhibit the excitatory pump.
