PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Examines Human Resources Practices and Employee Performance
A PhD dissertation at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the role of human resources practices and participative leadership in enhancing employee performance. It also studied the impact of knowledge sharing and human resources capabilities as moderating variables in the relationship between these variables, through a survey of a sample of university employees.
The dissertation, submitted by student Ahmed Abdul Saud, aimed to analyze the nature of the relationships and influences between human resources management practices, participative leadership, knowledge sharing, human resources capabilities, and employee performance.
The results showed a positive impact of human resources practices on employee performance, and a moderating role for knowledge sharing and human capabilities.
The dissertation recommended enhancing compensation, recognition, and training to improve performance and the work environment.
