President of the University of Basrah Receives the Head of the Provincial Council to Discuss Mechanisms of Joint Cooperation
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Hamad Al-Dahhan, received the Head of the Basra Provincial Council, Khalaf Lafteh Al-Badran, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of senior university officials, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the university and the local government.
The meeting addressed several issues of mutual interest, most notably supporting the educational and academic environment, developing the infrastructure of the university's colleges and centers, and leveraging the expertise and scientific consultations offered by the University of Basrah to serve development and service projects in the province.
During the meeting, the university president emphasized the university administration's commitment to openness and integration with all governmental institutions in the province, which contributes to raising the level of services provided to students and the Basra community in general.
For his part, the Head of the Provincial Council, Khalaf Al-Badran, praised the pioneering role played by the University of Basrah as a prominent scientific and academic institution, affirming the Provincial Council's support for the university and its commitment to removing all obstacles to its educational and administrative progress in order to achieve sustainable development in Basra Governorate.
