University of Basrah Faculty Member Publishes Book on the Iraqi Civil Procedures Law
Dr. Ghani Risan Jader, a faculty member at the College of Law, University of Basrah, and researcher Mu’ammal Raad Malik have published a book entitled Al-Wafi fi Sharh Qanun al-Murafa‘at al-Madaniyyah al-Iraqi (The Comprehensive Commentary on the Iraqi Civil Procedures Law No. 83 of 1969, as Amended: An Analytical Study Supported by Jurisprudential Opinions and Judicial Applications, with Sample Lawsuits, Part One: Articles 1–72).
The book consists of five chapters spanning 366 pages and examines the right of access to justice as one of the fundamental rights guaranteed by law. It presents this right as the last resort for anyone seeking justice and the restoration of their rights, as well as a safeguard against the loss of rights amid competing interests and disputes.
