University of Basrah President Receives Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, received the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Dr. Ali Maseer Yassin, and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways to strengthen institutional cooperation and develop joint mechanisms for collaboration between the two sides.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between universities and professional syndicates in support of higher education in Iraq, enhancing the quality of the academic environment, and safeguarding the rights of faculty members.
The University President affirmed the University of Basrah’s commitment to supporting initiatives that expand coordination and integration with the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, given its pivotal role in advancing the academic and professional performance of university professors.
For his part, the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate praised the University of Basrah’s distinguished academic standing and its active role in supporting the higher education sector. He stressed the importance of maintaining constructive communication and expanding areas of cooperation in ways that uphold academic rights and contribute to the advancement of educational institutions throughout the country.
