Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Participates in Workshop on Developing Amateur Football
The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Basrah and Chairman of the Competitions Committee of the Iraqi Football Association, Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, participated in a specialized workshop organized by the Iraqi Football Association under the supervision of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), titled “Analyzing the Amateur Football Environment.”
The workshop addressed the current state of amateur football in Iraq and the key challenges facing its development, as well as discussing modern approaches to developing its technical and organizational aspects, with the participation of a number of association officials, representatives of government bodies, and sports figures.
The participation comes as part of efforts to strengthen University of Basrah’s academic presence in specialized sporting events and support cooperation and the exchange of expertise in ways that contribute to the development of Iraqi sports.
