University of Basrah Council Holds Its Second Morning Session for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
The University of Basrah Council held its second morning session for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Hamad Al-Dahan, in the presence of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, the Council Secretary, and Council members. The session addressed a number of academic and administrative matters listed on the agenda.
The agenda included a discussion of the directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, undergraduate and postgraduate affairs, and the relevant decisions and regulations governing teaching, scientific, and administrative matters, thereby strengthening the University’s academic and research environment.
The University President commended the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff, expressing his appreciation for the Council members’ strong commitment to supporting the University’s scientific mission, implementing modern development strategies, and maintaining continuous coordination to serve students and the academic institution.
The session concluded with the designation and organization of administrative and organizational matters, as well as the approval of a number of recommended decisions. The Council emphasized the importance of continuing diligent efforts and field follow-up to achieve the strategic objectives of the University of Basrah during the current academic year.
