University of Basrah Discusses Prospects for Cooperation with the Electricity Distribution Company
The Dean of the College of Engineering at University of Basrah, Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, discussed prospects for joint cooperation with the Director of the Basrah Electricity Distribution Branch, Engineer Maytham Lazim Majeed, during a visit by the College Dean to the company’s branch headquarters.
The two sides discussed ways to develop engineering and scientific cooperation and exchange expertise and knowledge between the company’s engineering staff and the College’s faculty members and students, in a way that strengthens the practical application of engineering knowledge.
They also discussed the possibility of organizing specialized training courses on smart metering systems, as well as solar energy and its applications. The meeting also included a review of several future projects that could involve joint cooperation between the two sides.
