University of Basrah Obtains Ministry Approval to Establish a PhD Program in Life Sciences

University of Basrah has obtained approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish a PhD program in Life Sciences at the College of Education – Al-Qurna, as part of the postgraduate admission plan for the 2027–2028 academic year.

The approval was granted after the university completed the necessary material and human requirements for establishing the program, based on the report of the specialized ministerial committee and the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The establishment of the program comes as part of University of Basrah’s efforts to expand its postgraduate programs and strengthen scientific research and academic specialization pathways, contributing to the advancement of scientific activities and providing researchers with advanced academic opportunities.
