Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Impact of Assertiveness on Reducing Emotional Submissiveness
A master's thesis at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basrah, by researcher Ali Mazal Obaid Al-Shaheen, examined "The Impact of Assertiveness on Reducing Emotional Submissiveness Among Preparatory School Students."
The study aimed to verify three scientific hypotheses to measure the impact of this approach. The researcher employed an experimental methodology with a sample of 450 students from public schools in the Al-Qurna district during the 2025-2026 academic year.
The thesis included the implementation of a self-assertiveness-based guidance program with an experimental group of 24 students, equally divided into experimental and control groups, to address emotional submissiveness and develop their self-awareness skills.
