Master’s Thesis at University of Basrah Examines the Fabrication and Mechanical Properties of a Polymer Matrix Composite
A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, examined the fabrication and evaluation of the mechanical properties of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) matrix composite reinforced with polymer fiber waste.
The thesis, submitted by student Huda Abdul-Ridha Abdul-Imam, aimed to improve the mechanical properties of composites based on recycled and virgin high-density polyethylene by adopting different fiber orientations.
The thesis comprised four chapters addressing the development and evaluation of sustainable polymer composites based on maleic anhydride-grafted polyethylene as a compatibilizing agent.
