Doctoral Dissertation at University of Basrah Examines the Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beams Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate
A doctoral dissertation at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, examined the behavior of reinforced concrete beams containing recycled concrete aggregate under biaxial loading.
The dissertation, submitted by student Hiba Abdul-Hussein Sahib, aimed to investigate the structural behavior of reinforced concrete beams incorporating recycled concrete aggregate when subjected to biaxial loading.
The dissertation comprised five chapters in which the researcher designed specimens in two groups to represent flexural and shear failure modes. The results showed that a 30% replacement ratio provided relatively satisfactory performance compared with higher replacement ratios.
