University of Basrah and Basrah Provincial Council Strengthen Cooperation and Coordinate Joint Efforts
The President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Hamad Al-Dahan, received Nofal Hashim Hamid Al-Mansouri, a member of the Basrah Provincial Council, at his office at the University Presidency to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation and fostering closer coordination between the local administration and the province’s leading academic institution.
The meeting addressed several areas of cooperation centered on reinforcing mutual support and advancing the educational and infrastructure development of the University’s colleges. Discussions also explored new avenues for drawing on the University’s academic and consultancy expertise to address service and development issues affecting the lives of Basrah’s residents, as well as the needs of teaching and administrative staff and students.
Mr. Nofal Al-Mansouri affirmed the Provincial Council’s commitment to supporting the University in improving its educational environment and facilitating its future projects. He also commended the University of Basrah’s distinguished academic standing and its active role in providing the labor market with qualified professionals and expertise.
For his part, the University President welcomed the initiative, affirming the University’s openness to all efforts aimed at strengthening communication and fostering integrated cooperation with the provincial authorities in ways that would positively contribute to Basrah’s academic and service sectors.
