University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Facilitation Strategies and Teaching Methods for All Specializations
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on facilitation strategies and teaching methods as part of the ninth Teaching Methods Course, Unit Five, for all specializations.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar Mohammed and Dr. Mustafa Abdul-Ridha Kadhim, addressed facilitation strategies, teaching methods, feedback, and microteaching. It explained the concept of lecturing and ways to help students overcome their fear by focusing on the scientific content and setting objectives that are appropriate to the available time. The lecture also covered the definition of strategy, academic activities, and various teaching strategies, as well as the concept of a programme as a set of organized and coordinated activities. In addition, it addressed the concept of teaching method, different teaching methods, and the terms model and style, along with the key elements of an introduction, preparation, and conclusion.
