Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates Sustainable Brick Manufacturing from Recycled Construction Waste
A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, investigated the sustainable production of bricks from recycled construction waste using acoustic emission technology.
The thesis, presented by student Batool Abdul-Abbas Mahdi, aimed to produce sustainable bricks from wall waste containing both brick fragments and cement mortar waste.
The thesis comprised four chapters, in which the researcher discussed how construction waste and debris generated by ongoing construction and demolition activities pose a serious environmental threat and contribute to the depletion of natural resources.
