University of Basrah Launches Campaign to Replace Iraqi Flags Across Its Campuses
The University of Basrah has launched a campaign to replace and standardize the Iraqi flags displayed on the buildings of its colleges and centers across its various campuses.
Dr. Mazen Al-Zaidi, Director of the University’s Department of Media and Governmental Communication, said the campaign is being carried out in line with government directives to standardize the Iraqi flags displayed on government institutions. He noted that the initiative also reflects the university’s commitment to displaying the national flag in a manner that reflects its significance as a national symbol.
The campaign includes removing worn and damaged flags and replacing them with new ones of uniform size and in accordance with officially approved specifications. The initiative also aims to promote a sense of citizenship and national pride among students and university staff.
