Basrah University Commemorates Second Anniversary of Resistance Leader’s Martyrdom
Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Saleh Neamah, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center—in collaboration with the Al-Janoob Cultural Center in Basrah—hosted a memorial ceremony to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Resistance leader Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah. Held as part of "The Pearl of Lebanon Cultural Week," the event drew a large gathering of academics, researchers, and cultural figures.
The proceedings featured poetry recitations and speeches reflecting on his legacy, honoring the sacrifices of martyrs, and emphasizing the continuation of the Resistance movement.
In a press statement, Dr. Neamah noted that commemorating such enduring figures and historic moments reinforces values of loyalty and resilience. He reaffirmed the University of Basra’s commitment—across its research centers and academic units—to hosting initiatives that highlight key regional issues and enrich the community’s cultural and intellectual landscape.
