University of Basrah Publishes Scientific Research in a Journal Indexed in Scopus and Clarivate
Lecturer Kadhim Fadhil Kadhim, a faculty member at the College of Education / Al-Qurna, University of Basrah, published a scientific research paper in the journal Next Energy, published by the international publishing house Elsevier. The journal is indexed in both Scopus and Clarivate databases, with an Impact Factor of 6.4.
The study evaluated the suitability of fungal-derived biodiesel for use in internal combustion engines, based on quality characteristics and international standards.
The research results identified twelve oil-producing fungal isolates, showing that most biodiesel samples complied with international standards regarding cetane number, viscosity, and density, in addition to possessing a high heating value, thereby enhancing their potential as an alternative and sustainable fuel.
