University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Teaching Ethics for Humanities Students
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on teaching ethics for the sixth unit of the humanities course, as part of the ninth Teaching Methods course.
The lecture aimed to train university professors in the humanities on how to make ethical decisions in academic work.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Ammar Duair Falih, included defining the importance of ethical decision-making in the academic environment and the role of ethics in promoting integrity and transparency in the fields of education and scientific research.
It discussed the fundamental principles of academic ethics, such as honesty, fairness, and respect, as well as how to deal with the challenges that academics may face in making decisions that affect the course of education and research.
Practical case studies were presented to illustrate the impact of ethical decisions in academic life.
