University of Basrah Organizes Commemoration Festival
The College of Agriculture at Basrah University organized a commemoration festival entitled "The Martyrdom Festival" to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the leader of the resistance. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, his academic and administrative deputies, and a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The festival included eulogies and poetry readings presented by several professors and students, recalling the stances and sacrifices of the leader of the resistance and embodying the meanings of martyrdom, sacrifice, and steadfastness.
The speeches emphasized the importance of remembering the lives and stances of the martyrs and strengthening the human and national values associated with their sacrifices, thus contributing to establishing a culture of loyalty and pride in those sacrifices.
The organization of the festival affirms the university's commitment to continuing its cultural and commemorative activities that remember the martyrs and immortalize their stances.
