University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Professional Ethics for Engineering Students
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on professional ethics, Unit Six, for engineering students, as part of the ninth Teaching Methods course.
The lecture aimed to instill ethical values in faculty members and raise awareness of the importance of adhering to professional ethics.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Mustafa Abdul-Ridha Kadhim, included a definition of the importance of professional ethics in education, how ethics contributes to building a positive learning environment, and its role in strengthening trust between teachers, students, and the community. This, in turn, supports the success of the educational process. The lecture also covered the application of professional ethics principles and reviewed the fundamental rules of professional conduct, emphasizing the importance of adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of teaching to achieve optimal educational practices.
