Higher Education Staff Commemorate Iraq’s Martyrs on National Sovereignty Day
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized a national gathering to mark National Sovereignty Day and commemorate the Iraqi martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland, its territory, and the dignity of its people.
The gathering highlighted the values of national sovereignty and the responsibility they entail in protecting the state and its institutions, upholding the Constitution and the law, and strengthening a sense of citizenship and national belonging.
Participants emphasized that commemorating Iraq’s martyrs represents a tribute to their sacrifices and the lasting contributions they made for the country. They also reaffirmed the values of national responsibility, Iraq’s unity and sovereignty, the preservation of its achievements, and collective efforts to strengthen security, stability, development, and nation-building.
The gathering reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of Iraq’s martyrs and promoting the values of sovereignty, national unity, and shared responsibility in building the state and serving society.
