University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Causes of the Spread of Common Diseases and the Impact of Nutrition
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop addressing the causes of disease spread and the impact of nutrition, despite increased health awareness. The workshop emphasized that modern dietary patterns and reliance on fast food are behind this phenomenon.
The workshop explained that the recycling of fats and oils, along with the increased consumption of sugars and antibiotics, weakens the body's immunity by eliminating beneficial microorganisms in the gut, thus paving the way for the emergence of diseases.
The workshop concluded with recommendations calling for increased health awareness regarding the adoption of healthy dietary choices and avoidance of harmful substances to protect public health.
