University of Basrah Participates in Fourth International Road Race Technical Conference
A representative of the University of Basrah took part in the technical conference for the fourth Baghdad University International Road Race 2026. The conference was organized by the Student Activities Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Iraqi University Sports Federation, and was held at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad.
The university was represented by Murtada Hussein Hashim, Director of the Scouting Division at the Student Activities Department, alongside directors and representatives of student activities departments from participating public and private universities. The conference focused on the technical and organizational preparations for the race.
Hashim said the conference addressed participation procedures, regulations, and eligibility requirements, as well as the technical and organizational arrangements for the event. He noted that more than 70 public and private universities are participating, with the race covering 3 kilometers for female students and 5 kilometers for male students. The meeting also discussed logistical arrangements, including the distribution of race numbers and sportswear to participants.
