Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Machine Learning for Channel Estimation in Massive MIMO Communication Systems
A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, examined machine learning techniques for channel estimation in communication systems employing massive antenna arrays and one-bit quantization.
The thesis, presented by student Sura Nasih Salman, aimed to estimate the channel in large-scale multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems equipped with one-bit analog-to-digital converters.
The thesis comprised four chapters, in which the student developed new estimation frameworks capable of addressing the effects of nonlinear quantization while maintaining an acceptable level of computational complexity.
