Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Application of a Control System for Cathodic Protection Systems
A master's thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, explored the application of a control system for cathodic protection systems to prevent corrosion in oil pipelines.
The thesis, submitted by student Raghadan Abdul-Razzaq Lazem, aimed to design a practical model that accurately simulates a real cathodic protection system.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed a proposed model capable of analyzing fault behavior, specifically the difference between a predefined reference value and the measured polarization voltage. This allows the operator to understand the nature of potential faults.
