University of Basrah Launches its First Cultural Competition to Enhance Student Knowledge
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah launched its first cultural and knowledge competition for students, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, and a number of faculty members and students.
The event was organized by the Student Activities and Media Departments, with the participation of eight teams representing the college's departments. The aim was to develop students' intellectual and research abilities and enhance their general knowledge.
In his opening remarks, the Dean emphasized the college's commitment to supporting student activities that contribute to a competitive and positive university environment. The first day saw a competition between the Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Department and the Animal Production Department, which ended with the Horticulture and Landscape Engineering team emerging victorious. The Dean affirmed the college's commitment to continuing initiatives aimed at developing students' academic and cultural character.
