Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Bacterial Synthesis of Selenium Nanoparticles
A master's thesis at the University of Basrah explored the bacterial synthesis of selenium nanoparticles and evaluated their antimicrobial and anticancer efficacy in vitro.
The thesis, submitted by student Noor Salman Issa, aimed to study the production of selenium nanoparticles using a simple, economical, and environmentally friendly biological method.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the definition of nanotechnology and nanoparticles, the properties of selenium and its medical applications, and studied the green synthesis of selenium nanoparticles.
