University of Basrah President Discusses Support for Education with Parliamentary Delegation
Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Hamad Al-Dahan, President of the University of Basrah, received the director of the office of Ahmed Dagher Al-Mousawi, a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives representing Basrah Governorate.
The meeting explored prospects for cooperation between the legislative and academic institutions. It also addressed ways to support the educational process in the governorate and meet the needs that would help improve the university environment and enhance students’ academic standards.
Both sides emphasized the importance of pooling efforts and strengthening coordination between parliamentary and academic institutions to serve the people of Basrah Governorate and overcome obstacles facing research and service projects on campus.
