University of Basrah and Provincial Council Share Vision for Advancing Education
Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Hamad Al-Dahan, President of the University of Basrah, received Wijdan Qasim Al-Maliki, a member of the Basrah Provincial Council and Chair of its Committee on Education, Vocational and Scientific Research, in his office. The meeting, attended by Dr. Ayman Saleh Ni’ma, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, focused on identifying practical steps to support the academic sector.
Discussions focused on establishing avenues for joint cooperation to improve the university environment, support research projects, and address the service-related and logistical challenges facing university staff and students.
Both sides emphasized the importance of executive and legislative coordination between the governorate and the university to ensure that scientific expertise is harnessed to serve the people of Basrah and develop its educational institutions.
