University of Basrah Discusses Sustainable Agricultural Cooperation with Italian Company Eni
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed prospects for scientific and technical cooperation with a delegation from the Italian company Eni, headed by Sustainability Director Silvia Bianco and Legal Affairs Chief Romina Giordani, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Al-Shawi, and a number of faculty members.
The meeting addressed ways to develop the agricultural sector in local communities within the company's operational areas west of Basra, and to support sustainable development.
Dr. Al-Shawi affirmed the College's readiness to provide strategic studies, specialized consultations, and advanced laboratory analyses.
The visit concluded with a tour of the College's halls and laboratories, during which the delegation learned about its scientific and human resources capabilities, enhancing opportunities for building an effective partnership that serves the agricultural sector.
