University of Basrah Distinguished by Researcher's Agricultural Patent
Professor Dr. Khadija Sadiq Jaafar Al-Husseini, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, achieved a scientific milestone by participating in the Innovation and Patents Conference and Exhibition organized by the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala. Her patent specializes in food preservation.
The patent involves the use of edible gelatinous films reinforced with magnesium oxide nanoparticles for preserving chilled fish fillets. This contributes to the development of food preservation technologies and enhances the quality and safety of food products.
This achievement aligns with the university's commitment to supporting scientific research and applied innovation, and to utilizing nanotechnology in developing sustainable solutions that serve the food sector.
