University of Basrah Launches Planting Campaign in its Gardens
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the IT Volunteer Team, launched a campaign to plant trees in the college gardens. Several supporting entities contributed by donating seedlings, including the Department of Smart Medical Systems, the 7th Brigade Student Mobilization Office, and the Basra Tourists Syndicate.
The campaign aimed to enhance green spaces and promote a culture of tree planting and environmental awareness, recognizing their role in improving air quality and creating a more aesthetically pleasing and healthy environment on campus. It also sought to foster a spirit of volunteerism and cooperation among students and staff.
This initiative is part of the college's ongoing efforts to achieve a sustainable and environmentally friendly university environment.
