Al-Sabah newspaper highlighted the prospects for scientific and technical cooperation between the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah and the Italian company Eni, aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural development in local communities west of Basra.
This came during a meeting between the Dean of the College, Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Al-Shawi, and a delegation from the company, headed by Sustainability Director Silvia Bianco and Head of Legal Affairs Romina Giordani, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and the development of the agricultural sector.
Al-Shawi affirmed the College's readiness to provide strategic studies, specialized consultations, and advanced laboratory analyses. The visit included a field tour of the halls and laboratories to learn about the scientific and human resources capabilities, which will support building an effective partnership that serves sustainable development.
