In a statement, the President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahhan, affirmed that matters are progressing smoothly and that the college's students will return to their studies. He emphasized that all student demands and all matters related to services are receiving strong support. He indicated that they are following up on all needs to provide a detailed report, and that follow-up is direct and will not be limited to mere promises to ensure the stability of the educational process.
He added: This step comes within the framework of organizing institutional work, in accordance with the requirements of the public interest, and to facilitate the management of tasks and administrative matters during the dean's absence.
This development also follows protests that took place at the college last week, in which students demanded the replacement of the college dean, an improvement in the educational environment and the services provided, as well as a review of the procedures related to absences and the mechanism for dealing with students.
