University of Basrah Organizes Field Trip to Hatchery in Safwan
⠀
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a practical field trip for third-year students to the Barakat Al-Rahman private hatchery in the city of Safwan.
⠀
The visit aimed to reinforce the practical aspects of the curriculum and connect academic knowledge with real-world practices in hatchery management and artificial incubation techniques.
⠀
During the trip, students examined the technical and operational infrastructure of the hatchery across various incubation stages, ranging from testing, grading, and sterilizing hatching eggs, to monitoring incubator conditions—including temperature and humidity control—through to chick emergence and quality assessment according to established health standards.
⠀
This visit aligns with the college's ongoing efforts to advance students' field skills, build practical expertise, and prepare them to meet the demands of the animal production labor market.
