University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Applications of Microfacies Analysis in Sedimentary Studies
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on carbonate rocks, their facies characteristics, and their relevance to oil exploration.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to carbonate sedimentary rocks, their facies characteristics, and their significance in oil exploration.
The workshop featured several research papers in which researchers discussed methods for identifying the most suitable facies for petroleum reservoirs and source rocks, as well as the key diagenetic processes that can improve reservoir properties and enhance reservoir quality.
