The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the management and development of scientific research in accordance with international publishing standards and global ranking requirements.

The workshop aimed to enhance faculty research performance and promote academic publishing within indexed global databases, contributing to an increased research output for the university and improving its standing in international rankings.

Presented by Dr. Hassanein Ali Muhsin Al-Naml, the workshop reviewed publishing indicators within the Scopus and Web of Science databases, alongside mechanisms for establishing research targets. It introduced the Unified Scientific Researcher Oasis platform, detailing methods for data entry and profile updating, while highlighting the importance of tracking faculty research output, elevating performance metrics, and achieving academic accreditation.
