University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Workshop on Human Rights in the University Environment
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized an awareness workshop entitled “Human Rights in the University Environment: Theory and Practice.”
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of human rights and promote the values of equality, justice, and mutual respect.
Delivered by Dr. Sabrin Hazim Abdulwahid and researcher Aman Hadi, the workshop addressed the rights of students and faculty members, equal opportunities, responsible freedom of expression, respect for diversity, and the promotion of dialogue within the university campus.
The workshop recommended translating human rights principles into practical measures to help provide a safe and fair university environment, strengthen awareness of rights and responsibilities, and foster coexistence and mutual respect among members of the university community.
