The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on publishing mechanisms in Scopus databases and ways to enhance researchers' presence in international rankings.

The workshop aimed to introduce the mechanisms and requirements for publishing in reputable international scientific journals indexed within Scopus databases, methods for selecting appropriate journals according to specialization, and strategies to avoid predatory and unaccredited journals.

The workshop featured the presentation of several research papers covering manuscript acceptance criteria, scientific writing techniques in accordance with international specifications, and the importance of adhering to academic integrity and proper citation practices, alongside the role of reputable scientific publishing in strengthening the university's presence in international rankings and enhancing its academic reputation.
