University of Basrah Participates in Ministerial Committee to Enhance Assessment Exam Standards

The University of Basrah participated in the proceedings of the Ministerial Committee on Assessment Examinations, represented by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, to discuss mechanisms for unifying academic and procedural standards adopted in student evaluations.

The meeting was chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani, who emphasized the importance of adopting precise scientific criteria in preparing and auditing examination questions to ensure the integrity of results, promote fairness, and guarantee equal opportunities for all students.

The meeting highlighted the necessity of engaging specialized teaching faculty and strictly adhering to applicable ministerial guidelines, thereby enhancing the quality of academic assessment, bolstering scientific rigor, and elevating the outcomes of higher education across both public and private universities subject to the assessment exam.
