University of Basrah Holds Awareness Seminar on the Role of Youth in Countering Cultural Warfare and Media Misinformation
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the College’s Volunteer Information Technology Team, held an awareness seminar entitled “The Role of Informed Youth Amid Cultural Warfare and Media Misinformation.”
The seminar aimed to strengthen young people’s intellectual and cultural awareness and highlight the challenges posed by media misinformation and cultural warfare amid rapid digital advancement.
The seminar addressed several topics, including developing critical thinking skills, verifying the credibility of news and information, countering rumours, protecting cultural identity, and using social media platforms responsibly.
The seminar forms part of the College’s efforts to raise students’ awareness and prepare a generation capable of addressing contemporary intellectual and media challenges.
