University of Basrah and the Union of Writers Sign a Cultural and Literary Cooperation Agreement
The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basrah signed a cultural and literary cooperation agreement with the Union of Writers and Authors in Basra. The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, and the Head of the Union, Professor Ali Al-Imara.
The agreement includes joint cultural and literary activities and events, the organization of seminars, poetry evenings, and dialogue sessions, as well as the exchange of visits and expertise. This will provide broader opportunities for interaction between faculty, students, and writers.
Both sides emphasized the importance of this cooperation in revitalizing the cultural scene in the province, enhancing the university's presence in the cultural landscape, and supporting literary talent among students. This collaboration will contribute to building bridges of communication between the academic and cultural institutions.
