University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Rights of People with Disabilities
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled "The Rights of People with Disabilities and Special Needs."
The workshop aimed to raise community awareness among students, support the proper inclusion of people with disabilities, protect them from bullying and discrimination, and emphasize the importance of supporting them in overcoming challenges.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Dr. Bushra Faleh Hassan, who discussed the concept of disability, its types, and its causes. She also reviewed national and international laws and legislation that guarantee a dignified life for this group.
The workshop recommended the need to intensify awareness workshops supporting these groups, enabling them to lead healthy futures and contributing to their full integration into society.
