University of Basrah Organizes PCR Technology Training Course
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course entitled "Types of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR): Principles and Current Achievements."
The course aimed to establish a theoretical and practical understanding of PCR technology and its branches.
The course, presented by specialists from the center, covered the basic principles and steps of the reaction, types of PCR (conventional, interfering, multiplex, quantitative, and digital), as well as the latest advancements in clinical diagnostics, rapid point-of-care testing (POCT), and AI-assisted analysis, enabling trainees to design and conduct PCR experiments and analyze their results efficiently.
